Where are we?The Humboldt Rose Society is located in picturesque Humboldt County, at the heart of Northern California's redwood country. Humboldt is a peaceful destination, 200 miles north of San Francisco and 100 miles South of the Oregon border, with a bustling sea port, a college town, and a brisk industy in tourism. Eureka is the county seat of Humboldt County, with a population of 25,000, and a flair for Victorian architecture |

Where does HRS meet?The current home of the Humboldt Rose Society is in the Christ Episcopal Church at 15th and H Streets in Eureka. Meetings are held in the church parish room and parking is available on the 14th Street side. The society meets on the second Thursday of the month between January and June, and between September and November. The society can also be seen around the community. Pruning demonstrations are staged at various venues, and the society's rosarians act as caretakers for several local gardens.

Where is the Rose Show?The HRS annual rose show is held in conjunction with the American Rose Society and is a draw for rosarians throughout the California, Nevada, and Hawaii district. The show is held indoors at the Bayshore Mall in Eureka. Judging for the show takes place from 10:00 AM to noon. Doors are open to the public from 12:00 to 5:00. Roses are often given away to the public at the end of the show. Non society members are welcome to enter and free memberships are given to the best non-society exhibitor. |
